International Communication
Institute of Political Science (IPS) actively promote international communication. It has jointly established the "Sino-Europe Rural Comparative Research Center" and "Cross-Strait Rural Comparative Research Center" with overseas academic institutions and will develop further collaboration with European Institute, Carleton University of Canada, Univerisity of LA Verne and Universitas Indonesia, etc.
Faculty members of Institute of Political Science visited and studied in many world famous universities including Harvard University, Columbia University, Stanford University, Waseda University, Duke University, American University and University of Cambridge. IPS also hosted many foreign scholars as visiting or adjunct professors worked in different departments of the institute. Now, IPS is planning to send its postgraduates to study abroad as exchange students or take part in some short term visiting programme.
Besides these international communication activities above, IPS enrolls nearly 30 foreign graduate students each year all around the world and grants master or doctor degrees to them . English is used in teaching, cultivating and thesis defending process for international students. Lots of English Courses are aslo available to feed students’ demand, including History of Interantional Politics, International Relations Theory, China’s Politics and Foreign Policy, Sino-US Relations, International Law, International politcal Economy, Asia-Pacific Studies, etc.
